Ambler

amblerptchev

Ambler Café Bar and Bistro is back in action after their recent re-opening mid-August – the council’s roading upgrade through the area has been long, arduous and costly for local small businesses (hence the closure), and the Huskies wanted to lend their support to help kick them back into gear. Ambler’s been refreshed and repainted and, if you haven’t darkened their doors before, it’s even more worth a visit now. The vibe is relaxed and cosy, perfect for a chill lunch with friends or even a solo treat.

The menu has a nice mix of familiar favourites and some new surprises, all made with fresh, local ingredients that really hit the spot. Whether you’re craving something hearty or just a light bite, they’ve got you covered, including a good range of dietary options.

The staff are super fast, French and friendly and make you feel right at home, adding to the laid-back atmosphere. The presentation of the dishes is on point—Instagram-worthy without being too fancy.

All in all, Ambler’s reopening is a win. If you’re in the area and looking for a place to grab lunch, this spot should be on your list! Allow plenty of time for parking though as it is still roadwork central around there and the potholes are gnarly.

Total spend – 3 people – $115.50

Louise had eggs benedict with bacon and drank a single shot Americano. She said, “Ambler is always wonderful, classy, relaxed and delicious. Miam miam!”

Sam had the market fish of the day. He said, “Such nice food and a fancy spot which would be good for a date night. Nice seating space and not over crowded.”

Sarah had the roasted carrot & cumin soup with housemade focaccia and drank lemon ginger tea. She said, “Super yummy carrot soup, perfect for a wintery day. Very lovely service too!”
