ROSEBANK KITCHEN
We’ll admit it, when it comes to gastronomy of epic proportions, Avondale ain’t the first places to pop up in our heads (aside from Woodworks, which we admit is pretty magical). Rosebank Coffee & Kitchen blew our biased judgements out of the water with first-class interiors, mouth-watering textures and the best potato skins you’ve ever had in your life. You won’t find any teething problems in this new opening, as the seasoned staff comes from foodie corners like Farina, Ostro and Little & Friday, no wonder everything’s top notch. We particularly appreciated the creamy scampi with a dark caramel nut-butter vinaigrette, the time taken to perfectly plate each meal and our waitress taking the time to explain the best way to brew organic rose tea at the table.
There’s also an elevated area available for parties up to 15 people, if you’re reading this, book a reservation now and invite us please?
Louise had the ceviche. She said “Excellent service by Carlos and his team, impeccable fit-out (Ponsonby arrives in Avondale) and detailed plating. The special ceviche was an unusual take on one of my go-to faves but still delicious. The crispy potato skins though… genius.”
Katie had the scampi with garden vegetables, greens, crushed potato & nut butter vinaigrette and a latte. She said “Those potato skins were amazing, the scampi was cooked to perfection — will come again!”
Mel had the ceviche and potato skins and a tumeric tea. She said “Awesome place, Avondale is lucky to have such a cool café in their hood!”
Joe had eggs and feta on toast and a lemonade. He said “Really quality place. Hash was a little lacking in flavour though.”
Rebecca had the scampi with garden vegetables, greens, crushed potato & nut butter vinaigrette and a hibiscus rose petal organic tea. She said “Beautifully plated dishes and the flavour is amazing too! The organic teas are a must try.”
